Kuala Lumpur, 15th November 2009 – Hewlett-Packard launches a 3-month HP Hit Print contest today to promote on their Original HP Supplies. Unlike previous years, HP decides to go social media for the campaign this year. idotyou is pleased to be the Digital Marketing Agency that designs, implements and manages the contest for HP on Facebook, the most popular social networking site in Malaysia.
The contest has 2 parts: (1) Register via SMS; (2) Upload Photo via Facebook. To register via SMS, participants must first purchase selected Original HP Supplies and SMS the unique code found on the sticker on the product box to 36655 in order to qualify. Every 80th valid SMS entry wins a Mini-Cooper Stool while every 300th valid SMS entry wins a Mini-Cooper Portable Fridge. Participants can then proceed to Part 2 of the contest, which is to upload a photo with the theme ‘World of Mini’ on the Facebook Application (http://apps.facebook.com/aminiwithhpsupplies) using the same unique code registered via SMS. HP will select one winner from the top 20 photos with the highest votes on the photos. Winner will walk away with a Mini-Cooper car!
Becoming a fan of HP Hit Print Fan Page on Facebook (www.facebook.com/hphitprint) is a pre-requisite to take part in the contest as a strategy to grow its fan base on Facebook.
HP also wants to educate the audience the benefits of buying Original HP Supplies as opposed to refillable. Hence, idotyou designed this fun game called HP Office Mania (http://apps.facebook.com/aminiwithhpsupplies/office_mania_index.php) for the target audience to take part and stand a chance to win a Mini-Cooper remote control toy car worth RM169. 5 units per week, for 11 weeks will be given away as grand prizes!
