McDonald’s Malaysia on LINE

About this project

Pushing the social frontier forward, idotyou partnered with LINE Plus Corporation to facilitate the launch of McDonald’s Malaysia Official Account on LINE mobile social community.

In-App Engagement:

Capitalising on the popularity of LINE’s stickers, a set of 16 co-branded exclusive stickers were released to ensure that McDonald’s Malaysia remains relevant and relatable to the LINE community.

In-App to On-Ground:

Concurrently, a simple contest was launched on McDonald’s Malaysia Official LINE Account to reward LINE users with 300,000 units of free Sundae Cone redeemable at a McDonald’s Restaurant.

This 2-way approach allowed McDonald’s Malaysia to relate to LINE users and drive foot fall to the restaurants, all while creating a sense of exclusivity for LINE users which will translate into brand loyalty in the long run.
