Introduction:
Clinique has always been the pioneer among the luxury skin care and makeup brands to try and embrace new digital marketing strategies to better reach and connect with their customers. Seeing the exponential growing trends of consumers spending more and more time online and on social networking sites, Clinique knows that embracing Social Media Marketing as part of Clinique’s digital marketing strategies is inevitable.

Project Details:
In July 2007, idotyou designed and setup Clinique Malaysia official page @ Friendster, the largest social networking site in Malaysia back then. idotyou managed and moderated the social networking community for Clinique. Each month, latest events and promotional information are updated on the page, keeping the fans up-to-date with exciting happenings at Clinique. Fans could also take part in the “Tell Your Friends” contest every month, or sign up as a Clinique Member to be pampered by free giveaways almost every month. Every day, skin care problems or product related questions were posted to Clinique. Each of the questions was attended to carefully daily. The fan base has around 16,000 fans.

In January 2011, following the footsteps of the fans, Clinique migrated its fan base to Facebook, the largest and most popular social networking sites in Malaysia as well as worldwide. idotyou continued to manage and moderate the fan page for Clinique. Within a year, the fan base has reached over 45,000 fans with daily healthy and active fans’ interaction regarding Clinique products, beauty tips, events, promotions cum new and exciting contests and competitions.

Results:
Today, Clinique remains as the leading luxury skin care and makeup brand with the largest and most active social media fan page in Malaysia connecting and interacting with their valued customers effectively via Facebook.
